All the graphs on this page are interactive, which means that if you hover your cursor or mouse over the graph, you can see the temperature for specific days.
Lately, there has been a lot of talk about the climate, climate change, and in Paraguay, about the heat or heat wave. With this material, I would like to contribute some quantitative data through an exploratory analysis. To this end, we will use the daily air temperature for Asunción from January 2016 to December 2023. All data is free and I obtained it from Visual Crossing.
Although a somewhat more detailed exploratory analysis has been published elswhere, in this post, I would like to give a brief summary with a focus on interactive graphics.
Podemos observar en este grafico un promedio de la temperatura diaria alrededor de 23°C y una clara tendencia al alza a partir del año 2022.
En el siguiente grafico observamos la temperatura maxima diaria.
El promedio de la temperatura maxima diaria llega a 29.3°C. Tambien con una tendencia al alza, pero no tan pronuciada.
Observemos con más detalle la sensacion termica diaria (máxima) en una trama interactiva.
Sin sorpresa, podemos observar el mismo patrón que en el grafico anterior. El promedio de la sensacion termica (max.) se encuentra alrededor de los 31°C, tambien con una tendencia al alza.
